Mid Height Eco Tray Paks are the latest trend in eco-friendly CD packaging and replace the plastic jewelcases. Choose from biodegradable fiberboard or recycled content (70-100%), coated or uncoated paper stock. These are custom manufactured - we can make your package any way you like!
Fiberboard paper stock gives packages a rough texture. Material is very absorbant and results in a soft, organic look. You can use the natural unbleached paper color as part of your art, prints colors directly on it for a muted effect, or print with a white area to help them stand out more. Recycled Paper stock is almost indistinguishable from regular paper stock in appearance. The more the recycled content, the softer the feel. Recycled can be ordered in coated or stock to suit your art,
Traypaks use a clear CD tray to hold the disc. The panel underneath is printed as well. If you have a multi-disc title, we can use multiple trays. Traypaks can be 4 panel on up to 10 or 12 panels or more. Slipcases (printed 4C) are a great addition to wrap these. Booklets are easily added with slots, thumbhole, or tube pockets, or literature slots.

The quality of our packages is unsurpassed. Our discs include 5 color printing - OFFSET! At no extra charge. Offset printed discs are gorgeous, picture discs - there is no mistaking them for a standard disc. Printed packaging always has a beautiful glossy coating finish, and we are experts in special printing effects (click here for photos) - such as spot UV, satiny matte finish, and lamination. Disc quality is considered flight ready for critical missions (including yours!).
Megalodon specializes in mass quantity manufacturing (special page), but we will also do smaller runs down to 1000 Qty. And you'll be happy to know that we give the same attention & quality to small runs, as to our large quantity runs. Included at no charge for all projects: 5 color offset on the disc, a printed test disc with data, films for highest quality, color matchprints, and no extra charges at the end like overrun charges. It's standard procedure for larger Qty runs, but almost impossible to find for smaller runs - except at Megalodon.

Procedure & what's included...

 Art Preflighting
First step is uploading your art. We'll take a look at your files to make sure they are laid out correctly.

 PDF SoftProofs
Next we generate PDF SoftProofs so we can make sure the basic components of your art files are correct. This is the place to catch typos or font issues.

 Film Generation
After approval of softproofs, we go to film. Film is required for silkscreening or offset printing and gives you high quality end results.
|
HardProofs- Printed Test Disc (with Data) and Color Matchprints
 A printed test disc is the only way to be absolutely sure printing on a disc will be the way you want it. We include these on all of our projects - mass manufacturing & small qty. CMYK Color matchprints with trimlines are included for paper items. FedEx shipping of proofs are also included. No need to return.

 Disc Manufacturing
After approvals, we start mass manufacturing. We manufacture to exact quantity. No surprise overrun charges with Megalodon!

 Printed Packaging Manufacturing
Printed packaging can made before your discs to help your schedule, or made at the same time. We'll do everything we can to meet your schedule (and we're good at it!) and there are no rush fees! Custom & eco-friendly packaging is encouraged!
